The Isla del Rio Cuale river walk,  is found in the middle of Puerto Vallarta, right between the downtown and the romantic zone. This picturesque place is known, for its tranquility, its hanging bridges which are fun to cross, and of course the river that gives it its name. Walking around , you stroll through the handicraft market, which is the largest in the city, where you encounter beautiful pieces of silver and talavera, decorative items and jewelry, hammocks, pottery pieces and many souvenirs. The island also houses the Museum of the Rio Cuale, the statue of John Houston, several restaurants cafes and bars located along the river, and a cultural center.
