La Paz is located in the southern part of the State of Baja California Sur on the edge of the Sonoran Desert. The shores of this city are bathed by the waters of the Gulf of California or Sea of ​​Cortez in an area considered to be the World's Largest Aquarium.

As part of the natural wealth of La Paz there are the islands of Isla Partida and Isla Espiritu Santo that were declared a protected area in 1978 and were recognized as a Biosphere Reserve in 1995.

This bay is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including a colony of sea lions. This treasure of having such valuable species among its waters is why it is considered the World's Largest Aquarium.

One of the charms the city of La Paz are the colorful sunsets from the palapas on its beaches. Amid the architectural beauty of this destination are the Cathedral of Nuestra Senora de La Paz and the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History which tells the history of the region from its first inhabitants up to the present day throughout its three rooms.
