Mausoleum of the Illustrious Men Cerro de la Bufa s/n
The Mausoleum of the Illustrious Men is located on the hillside of La Bufa in which lie the remains of prominent personages of Zacatecas such as Francisco Aguilar y Urizar (1867-1948) pianist, composer and emeritus teacher of the UAZ (Autonomous University of Zacatecas), Genaro Codina Fernandez (1852-1901) musician, outstanding composer and author of the Marcha Zacatecas, Ursulo Garcia Arizmendi (1882-1937) teacherr and social fighter for the worker and peasant cause, Fernando Villalpando Avila(1844-1902) native musician and composer.

The Alameda Garcia de la Cadena is surrounded by colonial streets and take us to another times.
Originally of the eighteenth century is adorned with poplar, willow and mulberry trees to mark where the city ended. In 1835 two fountains were installed and the central kiosk in 1915. In 1954 the statue of Francisco Garcia Salinas native of Zacatecas was unveiled and his name was used to baptize the Alameda. It is the venue of the Book Fair and Reading among many other cultural and political events.

Cable Railway of Zacatecas Cerro del Grillo y Cerro de La Bufa
This attractive tourist ride operates since 1979 and is one of the most visited of the city. There are two stations where you can take the cable railway: one in the bottom of the hill El Grillo and the other at the Far northwest of the Cerro de la Bufa in a way of 650 meters in only 7 minutes and it offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views. The technology and safety standards are Swiss origin.

Calderon Theater Av. Hidalgo No. 501, col. Centro
This Theater was built between 1891 to 1897 and is one of the most beautiful architectural jewels of the city. Its lobby is very wide and on the first floor is located a large room richly decorated with tapestry, candiles and mirrors of fine Venetian glass. The Main Hall is shaped like a horseshoe and is distributed on three levels. The stage is finished with an allegory, as well as the portrait of the illustrious playwright Fernando Calderon in whose honor was given the name to this place.

Masterpiece of exuberant Baroque dedicated to the Asuncion de Maria (Assumption of Mary) was built in 1731 and partially completed in 1752. Its excessive decoration contains a representation of the Santisima Trinidad (Holy Trinity) at the center which starts on the window of the choir symbolizing the the Holy Spirit then the Son Christ and finally an Eternal Father at the end. This composition is flanked by the twelve apostles.
