The Archivo y Biblioteca Historicos (archive and library) is an institution which preserves, safekeeps and recovers the documental and bibliographical heritage of the city of Veracruz, in  historical and contemporary classifications. It is formed from the documentation created by the town clerk,  and is grouped in documents that correspond to the 17th to 19th centuries, as well as the 20th century. It also displays permanent and temporary exhibitions of documents, books and newspapers.
