The main center for information and culture of the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez is the Centro Cultural Jaime Sabines, which consists of a library, newspaper archive, music library, video library, cyber areas, and the “General and Historical Archives of the State of Chiapas”, plus an auditorium, library , art galleries and art instruction rooms.
Other public libraries in Tuxtla are those of: Chiapas State Congress, Chiapas Institute of Science and Art, and the Autonomous University of Chiapas.
