As part of a project planned to modernize the image of the city, this area was built and named as the Espacio Cultural Metropolitano, but in actuality it is popularly know as the METRO. The vast terrain that includes plans for several structures in the future, includes the Metropolitan Theater, an Experimental Theater, a Special Exhibition Gallery, a library and the Huasteca Culture Museum. Each of its rooms is fitted with the highest technology, to present performances, exhibitions and conventions of high quality. This area also is framed by the beautiful Laguna del Carpintero that without a doubt enhances the panorama of the entire area.
