Information

The Museo de las Culturas Populares de Chiapas which belongs to the General Directorate of Popular and Indigenous Cultures of CONACULTA,  was inaugurated on February 7, 2000 with the purpose of recovering, re-examining, and vitally recreating all the expression and display of popular culture of the state of Chiapas.

The museum has changing special exhibits as well as its permanent exhibits of holidays, rituals,  ceremonies,  the routines of time in everyday life, clothing, symbols, technologies, and popular arts.

Open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m to 6 p.m.
