Ciudad Acuña and Piedras Negras

Here Ciudad Acuña is found, a location that attracts a great number of American visitors that during the day can practice multiple aquatic sports in Presa la Amistad (Prey of The Friendship) and later enjoy the nightlife that offers this city. Also in this region is located Piedras Negras, a peaceful city creator of the famous Nachos, reason why every year the Nacho´s Fest is celebrated. 30 minutes away from here you can arrive at the remains of the old Mission of San Bernardo. In the North Region a cavalcade is celebrated every year, in which participate more than 7.000 riders headlined by the governors of the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas. 

 

Cuatro Ciénegas

The Route of the Desert offers us museums, grapevine fields and other wonders like the fabulous valley of Cuatro Ciénegas, a natural protected area where they inhabit great quantity of animal and vegetable species that aren't found in no another place of the planet. There you will be able to find more than 200 wells of crystalline water, some of which they include the typical 'palapas' or beach sports courts. In this city was born the Constitutional President of our country Venustiano Carranza.

Monclova

Monclova offers seductive places as the beautiful recreational parks of Xochipilli I and II, same that share their sports areas with a picturesque lake and an artificial waterfall. It is a city that emphasizes for its gaudy museums such as the Coahuila Texas, the El Polvorín Weapon Museum and the singular Pape Museum, a cultural space that gives testimony of the life and work of Harold Pape, the creator of the Altos Hornos de México company in the year of 1942.   

Parras de la Fuente, the Oasis of Coahuila

Cradle of the apostle of the Mexican Revolution, Mr. Francisco I. Madero. It is a beautiful city of the state of Coahuila that is dominated from the Cerro del Sombreretillo (Hill of the Little Hat) where the church of the Santo Madero is located. It is known like the oasis of Coahuila by its refreshing springs and abundant groves that give framework to very well conditioned places of rest. Here, in the year of 1597, was founded the first winegrowing of America, what fully explains the reason of its popular Fiesta de la Vendimia (Grape Harvest Celebration) that year by year brings happiness to this city. 

Sabinas

In the city of Sabinas, in the Carbon Region of Coahuila, every year is celebrated the traditional cavalcade that starts in Santo Domingo and ends in Sabinas with the inauguration of its great Regional Fair. In this city interesting historic precincts and architectural jewels can be found, and you can visit the Coal National Museum or the Mammoth Museum, in which fossil rests discovered in the region are exhibited. Also it is recommendable to visit the Kikapúes Indian Reservation, well known as the Guardians of the North Border of Coahuila. Towards the northwest is located Maderas del Carmen, a flora and fauna protection area that surpasses the 200,000 hectares of extension.
