With the aim of preserving the traditions of the state of Oaxaca, the cultural movement called "Antequera", together with the Ministry of Culture and the City Council decided to establish an open space for artistic events to promote among the younger generations a taste and appreciation for art and traditions.
This  program called "Oaxaca Lives in Me," (Oaxaca Vives en Mí) is held each Saturday in the San Francisco park, and always brings much joy to hearts of the capital.  
Through this program, a forum for expression is opened to local groups and outsiders, to share with various walks of society enjoyable leisure time, in the company of music, poetry, and dance.
The project founded in 2007, aims to give a new face to Oaxaca and to receive the visitors with open arms to show the vast wealth of art that the state has.
The event is held every Saturday at about 6:00p.m in Oaxaca main park (Zócalo).
