Information

The Dominic nuns came to Valladolid at the end of the sixteenth century and took refuge in a place away from the city.
In 1743, they worked on this baroque church who was added with three gold altarpieces that have given a distinctive touch since then. The facade of the temple is twofold and can be seen from the Madero avenue. Another of the peculiarities of this temple  is that the door is not just in front of the altar as commonly happens in churches, but to one side. The former convent serve as a school for girls.  During the mass, the inmates were placed behind the gate that divides the chorus of the nave and had no contact with the neighbors.
It is located downtown at Santiago Tapia street.
