Nuevo Seminario Tridentino (Seminary)
In 1859 a Neoclassical style construction was erected under orders of the Archbishop of Michoacan Don Jose Ignacio Arciga to replace the Tridentine Seminary that was located in the current Government Palace. It worked until 1914 when it was closed by the Governor Gertrudis Sanchez and a year later the Normal School for Boys established there. In 1941 it hosted a high school incorporated to the University of Michoacan de San Nicolás de Hidalgo and from 1968 it houses the Pascual Ortiz Rubio school.
