The Palacio de Gobierno was inaugurated on September 15, 1892. When visiting the building, you  will enjoy a genuine exhibit of Yucatan art. The impressive murals which are housed inside, works of the master Fernando Castro Pacheco, are a real map that show a little about the history and lifestyle of the Mayas, from the time of the Conquest up until the Caste War.
