Information

A neighborhood ... a church. In 1642 the friars built a hospital outside the Villa de León. Over a hundred years later, the church was built and apparently, its roof was erected in 1765 in what was then the town of San Juan de Dios.

On the main façade of the Church of San Juan de Dios, the only churrigueresque in Leon, you can see a tower of a body and a smaller one that keeps watch, which is historically decorated by the bullet holes of the Mexican Revolution.

The front side clearly shows the figure of St. Michael the Archangel with the devil at his feet.
Neighborhood Feast of San Juan de Dios: March 16.
