Playa La Entrega is so named for the event that took place on January 20, 1831, when the Genoese Francisco Picaluga played a part in the treason and handing over of prisoner General Vicente Guerrero, who shortly before had been president of the republic, and just weeks later would be shot in the town of Cuilapan de Guerrero, near the city of Oaxaca.
At this beach you can practice free diving or scuba-diving on your own, swimming, and speed boating. It has public showers and baths as well as palapas that provide food service, beverages,  umbrella and diving equipment rentals. This beach is about 200 meters/218 yards long and about 30 meters/33 yards wide.
