The hotel is located in one of Guanajuato’s most beautiful haciendas, San Francisco Javier, where metals from local mines were once processed. The neighborhood, known as Colonia San Javier, is a mere five minutes from the main attractions of the city’s Historic Center, including La Alhóndiga de Granaditas, the Juárez Theatre, Union Garden, Basílica of Our Lady of Guanajuato, Plaza Baratillo, Callejón del Beso, and the renowned University of Guanajuato.

El Bajío International Airport is just 30 min. away from the hotel. Some other attractive places nearby are: the Convention Center, Pozuelos Mall, Mummy Museum and La Olla Dam.

ARQUITECTURE.

The Hotel Camino Real Guanajuato is built on the remains of the San Francisco Javier Hacienda, a former metal-processing center whose construction dates from the 17th century.
The hotel achieves a perfect balance between modernity and the building’s historic aspects. Every corner of the hacienda bears the Camino Real touch of distinction. The creativity of the Mexican team that restored the building is reflected in the care with which historical and traditional values have been preserved in every paving stone, every facade, and in each room. The building has been proclaimed part of a World Heritage Site protected by Mexico’s National Institute of History and Anthropology.

Camino Real Guanajuato offers 105 comfortable rooms, among them luxury rooms, junior suites, master and presidential suite. It also includes the exclusive Camino Real Club area. Azulejos Restaurant
The restaurant’s casual, relaxed atmosphere offers three alternatives for your dining pleasure. Breakfast and lunch consists of a spectacular buffet. In the evenings you can choose from a personalized menu and an appetizing salad bar, while Sunday brunch offers the very best selection of starters, salads, meat, stews, seafood and a tantalizing selection of desserts. Our top-quality wine list provides an excellent accompaniment to first-rate gastronomy. The restaurant’s centerpiece is a 16th century chapel.
