Cathedral of Cuernavaca Avenida Morelos Esq. Hidalgo, Centro.

Dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion it was built originally as a convent of the town and was founded by the first twelve Franciscan friars who arrived in the country in 1525. The complex consists of Atrium, Open Chapel, Capilla (Chapel)de la Santa Cruz, Capilla de los Dolores, Capilla del Carmen, Capilla de la Tercera Orden and  Temple of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. In the mid-eighteenth century the church holds the rank of parish. It was in the late nineteenth century that the Pope Leon XIII issued a decree by the erection of the bishopric of Cuernavaca with ecclesiastical jurisdiction in the State of Morelos and thus The Church of la Asuncion became Cathedral. After the restoration of 1957 by the Department of Colonial Monuments,  they removed the lime layer covering the walls and thus were discovered remnants of mural paintings of the eighteenth century depicting the arrival in Japan and the martyrdom of the holy Mexican Felipe de Jesus and his companions. Other fresh of incomparable beauty show the Pope Inocencio II blessing the missionaries with floral and geometric motifs in black and white.

The national park "The Tepozteco" was created for the conservation and protection of flora, fauna and archaeological remains of the area. The mountains of beautiful beauty for its own formation, has a climate which ranges from temperate to semi humid. The local histories say that from the mountain emanates a powerful positive energy which is accentuated during the "spring equinox." Climbing to the Cerro del Tepozteco is a challenge that is worth testing, besides to knowing the pyramid located at its top and to appreciate the tremendous overview of the town.

Construction consecrated to the Virgin of Guadalupe. It is called Chapitel to the type of open chapels with pyramidal covers that were usually erected in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It is a small chapel composed of a single vault on isolated columns. It is  known as "El Calvario" by its cross which was in the interior pedestal. According to the legend the place served as a place to humiliate. Due to the type of architecture that is identified, this Chapitel of  Cuernavaca is the only one that is preserved throughout the country.

Ex Convento de Tepoztlan (Former Convent ) Tepoztlán, Morelos.

Monument declared by UNESCO as "World Heritage". The building is known as The Former Convent of Natividad and is dedicated to the Virgin of the same name. It was built between 1555 and 1580 by inhabitants of the towns El Antiguo Señorio de Tepoztlan. It  consists of a large atrium, open chapel, Capillas (chapels) Posas, church and convent with motifs that stands out of the Dominicans Temples. The facade is plateresque style and shows the Virgin Maria accompanied by Fray Domingo de Guzman founder of the Dominican order and by Catalina de Siena, venerated Saint by the members of the order. In 1939 the  President Lazaro Cardenas gave the  former convent to the The National Institute of Anthropology and History. Finally, in 1993 the INAH began the restoration work and housing since 2000 the Historical Museum of Tepoztlan. The main religious festivity of this church is carried out on September 8, jointly with the celebrations of the Reto al Tepozteco ( Tepozteco Challenge).

It is known as the Parish of Natividad which was created in the sixteenth century and form a compound with the former Convent of Natividad. The parish has a large atrium in which there are 4 posas chapels (chapels that served to pose there the Holy in the processions of the  celebration of Corpus Christi)which were made of stone and placed in the corners of the atrium and an atrial cross whose tips end up in the form of fleur-de-lis, distinctive emblem of the Order of Friars Dominicans. The most important religious festival of this church is carried out on September 8, jointly with the celebrations of the Reto al Tepozteco (Tepozteco Challenge).
