The Laguna de Carrizalillo is a area that can be reached by car and a perfect spot for enjoying a picnic while taking in the background landscape of water and mountains.  Due to its proximity to the Volcan de Fuego,  the face of this giant can always be seen in the impressive panoramic view of the lagoon . A visit to the area between March and May is recommended, when the volcano sometimes shoots out bits of hot magma from the crater, which is especially spectacular at night with the red lava flaming out. There are fun and attractions for young and old. Activities also include camping, with safe places to stay overnight where you can experience contact with the outdoors without any problems. Here you can also fish for black bass, rent palapas that have grills, rent boats and go hiking. Carrizalillo Lagoon belongs to the municipality of Comala and is a very safe area with security 24 hours a day.
