The Malecon (boardwalk) is a must see,  and very pleasant to do in the evening. It begins at the Plaza Juan Alvarez, following a visit to the Jardin del Puerto,  and then walking you will come to the bridge that connects with the San Diego Fort.  The view from this height is impressive,  and if you still have time it is worth visiting the museum. As a grand finale, continue the walk to the Plaza Naval where you can admire all of the sculptures that adorn the pier taking in the culture and art, and the opportunity for a photo.
